Great helpful and responsive service. I had been looking for replacement ceramic cartridges for my kitchen tap for some time when I came across Plumbers Mate. The number of replacement cartridges available is mind boggling; as an aside it is a pity manufacturers cannot be more standardised! Nevertheless, after sending a photograph of the worn cartridge along with the dimensions in accordance with the clear instructions on the plumbers mate website; not forgetting the all-important number of splines, sales replied almost by return of email, advising which body I needed. Initially it did not look like it was the same fitting, but again after a very quick exchange of emails I was told I needed to remove the collar from my worn cartridge. I opted for next business day delivery which even arrived on a Saturday. Cartridge quickly replaced and now no leaking tap; hurrah! Many thanks to Keith and Andrew

After trawling online looking for sink waste parts; a visit to B&Q where I failed to generate interest for support to find the parts needed - even with their plumbing expert looking at the broken bits I’d taken with me! Because I didn’t know what the name of the assembly was systematically brushed off with ‘no we don’t have those in stock and not on order! I then visited Screwfix which was a similar experience to maccieDs - find the picture in the catalogue and if you can’t see it we don’t supply it. I found the number for Plumbers Mate online and chanced a call. Speaking to a gentleman in layperson’s terms I explained I wanted a thingy that screwed into that bit with sealing washers for a kitchen sink. I was so very very lucky to speak to a multi-lingual tradesperson who had the patience to help and worked out exactly what I needed. A couple of days later my package arrived and was exactly what I wanted and more so, the correct size. Plumbers Mate all the time for thingies I might need in future. This is the very first time I have ever been able to be so complimentary and want to share my experience of such amazing customer service. Many thanks. 

I have for some time unsuccessfully  been trying to get hold of a certain McAlpine gulley spare part however been unable to find any part number for it. After sending a photo of the broken part to Plumbers Mate, it was identified and ordered from the manufacturer for me. On its arrival weeks later I was promptly sent an email informing me, together with delivery information. I have found everyone concerned exceptionally helpful and efficient in this transaction.

 I needed to replace the plastic hinges on my Twyfords toilet, but could not buy a replacement seat only because my toilet etc was lavender coloured. So I was looking around for hinges only. Could not find anything on Amazon, so I googled toilet hinges and one of the companies was yourselves and you shipped to Jersey. Thanks for your perfect hinge in stainless steel, and thank you very much.

Needed to replace a starlite tap spline. Contacted Plumbers mate and received a reply 8 mins later directing me to said item which I then ordered. Also contacted two other firms one of which has still yet to reply!!!  Great service guys many thanks. You are now my default website.

"I contacted Plumbers mate, as I was desperate to find a spare part for my kitchen mixer tap, after losing a small part when we ripped out my old kitchen.  My plumber told me I would have to buy a whole new tap, but after speaking to a member of Plumbers Mate staff and sending them a picture of my tap, they were able to identify the part I needed (less than £5), and two days later I received it through the post.

"Having broken the toilet seat lid on a flat one evening during maintenance and with the tenants due back in two days I made the order very late on Wednesday night and spoke to Dawn the next morning at Plumbers-Mate (she had already tried to get hold of me) and the parcel was dispatched UPS early Thursday afternoon and was told to expect it to be delivered by 6pm the next day.  Friday morning at 9am it was delivered and on the toilet by 12 midday.  Many thanks it is much appreciated."
